October 21 - 4pm
Hear Our Prayer explores the idea of what it means to pray, through a wide lens, and the idea that we are the answer to our prayers. Intentionally not programmed from a specific viewpoint, we seek to amplify the idea that there is meaning and truth to ALL prayers. This concert will also feature the winners of our 2023 Composer’s Competition Aurélien Hallopeau and Ben Kaye-Skinner.

Our annual holiday program is built around William Grant Still’s Christmas in the Western World, a wonderful piece for choir and string quartet, which has become an overlooked masterpiece by a great American composer. We will feature other works utilizing this orchestration, with beloved carols including: O Come, All Ye Faithful and How Great Our Joy, and new pieces such as Prepare the Way by Zanaida Robles and The Savior’s Birth by Marques Garrett. This family friendly concert brings together our Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Ensemble in a fun-filled afternoon that is sure to fill you with holiday cheer!
